What to expect in Minecraft 1.19 (and how to beat the Warden) Part 1

Minecraft 1.19 is the newest update... but unless you don't care if your game crashes, chances are, you've never tried the experimental snapshot OR used the 1.19 experiment in Java Edition and Bedrock Edition respectively. So what's actually in this update? Let's find out.

1. Frogs

So if you have seen news about 1.19, you probably know that frogs are going to be in the game, and with tadpoles in the game, can be in any biome. They are not that useful, but help if you want something to accompany you on your quest. They're found in the Mangrove Swamp (added into 1.19).

2. The Allay

If you watched last year's Minecraft Live, you'll know that a special mob is in 1.19. NOT the Warden - we'll get to that soon. I'm talking about the Allay, that can find items for you if you give it that item. Say you need Ancient Debris? It'll get you it. Diamonds? No sweat. It loves music, so make sure you have a note block. You can only find an Allay if you rescue it from a pillager outpost, though!

3. The Warden

WHAT? Surely it can't be that scary, right? right? Well, the Warden is scary. It can disable your shield in one hit, plus it has an insane amount of health! If you face this, make sure you have full netherite. Also bring totems! I'll tell you how to beat the warden. First (if you like to just go head on), is Netherite PvE vs the Warden. It's hard, but worth it. Second, is TNT trapping it! Lure the Warden into a pit, then when it falls in, activate the TNT to blow it into the sky! Third... is just dropping Iron Golems on it. Wardens are only found in the Deep Dark, and only appear when the Sculk Shrieker gets activated three times. It is also found in Ancient Cities. It has 1300 health points.

4. Ancient Cities

Ancient Cities... well, kinda explain themselves. Full of loot, super dangerous, and full of structures. The loot varies! You could get as low as iron tools, or as high as netherite armor! It's very rewarding. What's the dangerous part, you say? The Warden. A high-health, shield-disabling, health-taking MONSTER. If you beat that, you could call yourself a pro!

That's the end of Part 1 of what to expect in 1.19. See you soon!
